About Me

Jamie Sanchez (he/him) is a fourth-year journalism student from Santa Barbara, California, and is currently the photo editor for San Diego State University student newspaper, The Daily Aztec. He has also seen contributions to local publications like Noozhawk and The Sporting Tribune. He joined The Daily Aztec in 2023 as a photographer and has a niche in sports photography while also photographing news events and concerts. He has photographed events like the Farmers Insurance Open and March Madness. Outside of The Daily Aztec, Sanchez still enjoys freelance photojournalism and hopes to make a career out of it.
